erala Assembly wants to rename state as Keralam

Members of Kerala’s State Assembly have asked the Central Government to rename Kerala as Keralam. Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan said, “The name of our state in Malayalam is Keralam.” So, he asked the Government to change the name to Keralam. Since 1947 when India got Independence, many Indian cities have changed their names. The Kerala State Assembly is waiting for the Government to agree to the name change.
