Uttarakhand opens its first bird gallery

Uttarakhand’s Forest Department has opened a bird gallery in Jolly Grant, Dehradun. The gallery has interesting information about the 710 varieties of birds in the state including the Himalayan Monal and Black-Headed Jays. There are also colourful bird pictures, empty nests, and bright feathers on display. Recorded bird calls are played so visitors can listen to them as they explore the gallery.
