**UAE begins trial run of world’s 1st 3D printed abra

The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai launched a trial run of the world’s first electric abra made with 3D printing technology. An abra is a type of wooden boat used to carry people and goods across the streams in Dubai. Fiberglass abras are being used at present. The latest 3D abra, which can carry 20 passengers, is powered by electric batteries.
