Spring begins in the top half of the Earth on March 20th. It is called the Spring Equinox. On this day, the sun’s rays fall directly on the middle of the Earth. During the Spring Equinox, cherry trees are full of pink flowers!
Washington, D.C., in the USA celebrates spring with the National Cherry Blossom Festival. The festival will be held from March 20 – April 13. People sing, dance, and have picnics under the cherry trees.
