Scientists are waiting to watch a star ‘explode’

Any time before September 2024, a star in space will explode with a bright light that can be seen from Earth without a telescope. T CrB is a set of stars in space. One is a dead star while the other is a red giant. The dead star borrows gases from the red giant and explodes when it is full. The explosion happens once in 80 years. Skywatchers can see the light for 2-3 days.
