Permanent Education Number compulsory for students in AP

From the school year 2024-25, Permanent Education Number (PEN) will be made compulsory for school students in Andhra Pradesh. Through the Union Ministry of Education, every student will be given an identification number. This will be useful when the students are shifting from one school to another. The PEN initiative will cover 14.89 lakh schools and 26.5 crore students.
