Nigerian breaks world record in chess

As people cheered and clapped, Nigerian chess champion Tunde Onakoya played a ‘chess marathon’ for 60 hours in New York City, USA. He broke the previous record of 56 hours, played by chess champions of Norway in 2018. Onakoya played against American chess player Shawn Martinez. Onakoya said that the money earned through the game will be used for children’s education in Africa.
