Magical Venice Carnival Begins

A world-famous Carnival began in the city of Venice, Italy. The festival is held for 10 days from February 16 – March 4, 2025. There are parades in which people dress up in fancy masks and walk down the streets. The festival began with a boat parade. People put on colourful costumes and rowed their boats through the Grand Canal. Venice is known as the ‘Floating City’. It is built on islands that are surrounded by many tiny waterways.
