Ladakh Wants to Be Included in the Sixth Schedule

The Sixth Schedule of the Constitution of India gives importance to the tribal people of Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, and Mizoram. These states have councils that have the independence to make rules for the region. The Union Territory of Ladakh wants to be included in the Sixth Schedule. As a result, it can form laws to protect its environment and the cultures of its tribal people.
