India has over 6300 River dolphins

According to a study made by the Wildlife Institute of India, there are 6,300 dolphins living in India’s rivers. The survey was made in 28 rivers across 8 states. The highest number of dolphins are found in Uttar Pradesh, followed by Bihar and West Bengal. Ganges river dolphins are the National Aquatic Animals of India. Thousands of them live in the Ganges and Brahmaputra rivers.
