India among 12 nations responsible for mismanaged plastic waste

A Swiss organization called EA (Earth Action) released its Plastic Overshoot Day Report. According to it, 60 percent of plastic waste in the world is from 12 countries that have not managed their waste properly. These 12 countries include China, India, Russia, and the USA. India is a ‘low waste-producing’ country, but its mismanaged waste will be 7.4 million tons in 2024.
