ISRO Chief S. Somnath wins IAF World Space Award

Indian Space Research Organization’s (ISRO) Chief DR.S. Somnath was awarded the prestigious International Astronautical Federation (IAF) World Space Award. The award honours outstanding contribution to space technology and space science. Dr.S. Somnath received the award for his leadership during the launch of Chandrayaan-3 mission to the moon in 2023. The award ceremony was held in Milan, Italy. ISRO said that the award celebrates India’s contribution to space exploration.
