HP withdraws free electricity scheme

The Government of Himachal Pradesh announced that there will not be any reduction in electricity bills for taxpayers. People who pay income tax, including high-ranking officials, will be affected by this announcement. The electricity connections will be linked with ration cards. However, people who live below the poverty line and do not pay income tax will not be affected by the scheme.
