Government to launch cashless treatment scheme for road crash victims

The Indian Government has started a scheme to help road accident victims. Initially, the scheme will be offered in Chandigarh and Assam at hospitals under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri-Jan Arogya Yojana. The announcement was made by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways. The victims can get health benefit care up to Rs 1.5 lakh for a period of7 days from the date of the accident.
