From 1872, Jammu & Kashmir had Jammu as winter and Srinagar as summer capitals. Once in six months, truckloads of office files were moved from one capital to another. This was called Darbar Move. In 2021, the Darbar Move was stopped, and officers were allowed to work from both capitals. E-Governance methods and digitization are helping the government work from both capitals without shifting from one place to another.
