Brazil’s Hottest Days Send People to the Beach

It is one of the hottest summers in Brazil, South America. On February 17th, the city of Rio de Janeiro had the hottest day on record. Schools were closed, and many people went to the beach to bathe in the ocean. Officials said that the Rio de Janeiro Carnival will not be stopped due to the heat. The carnival, which will be held from February 28 – March 8, will have parades, music, and dance.
