Almost All Rs 2000 Notes Returned to Banks

On May 19, 2024, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said they would stop using Rs 2,000 notes. Almost all of the big pink Rs 2000 notes came back to the bank, says the RBI now. Out of all the Rs 2000 notes in India, almost 98% are back in the bank. People have mostly put them in their bank accounts. This move aims to encourage people to use digital money. Digital money will make the Indian economy more open and clear.
