31 states and UTs in India have achieved targeted rate in population:*

 

31 out of 36 Indian states and Union Territories have reached the target of maintaining a healthy population rate. These regions have achieved a rate of 2.1, which refers to the average number of children born per woman. However, states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh still have higher rates. On World Population Day, Health Minister J.P. Nadda said that the health of India’s families can be maintained with smaller families.
