3-year-old Sarwagya gets official FIDE rating:
FIDE is the rating given to international chess players by the International Chess Federation. Sarwagya Singh Kushwaha from Madhya Pradesh has become the world’s youngest FIDE-rated chess player. In December 2025, at just 3 years, 7 months, and 20 days old, he received an official rating of 1572, which is higher than the usual starting rating of 1400. His achievement has made India proud and encourages many young chess players.
